It’s about time to be planting those hardy winter beans. I know they taste like rubber compared to the delicious green or mung variety but they’re a great source of protein and iron for all of you out there who are suffering from anaemia after a year of being permanently drunk. So get sowing those seeds!
To all the bean farmers living it the Caribbean, well done if you’ve managed to grow the illustrious ANZAC bean. The Caribbean soils provide are rich in the nutrients required to grow this bean. I have been trying my whole life to grow this variety in New Zealand, but my caravan on the outskirts of Barbados is the only place I’ve had success.
